As a follow on to Tactical Movement this video is designed to simulate real world issues, obstacles, and urban/rural clutter that can create barriers to effective movement and defensive engagements.
Using the proper movement techniques previously taught while navigating obstacles, the shooters are still required to correctly engage multiple targets. This is a drill that gets students off of square range, static line shooting – and thinking.
To correctly complete this live fire drill, a shooter must remember that properly firing a handgun while moving and keeping overall situational awareness can be hard but is required to survive real world engagements – especially when we set the range up intentionally to be cluttered and give complex firing instructions!
Shooters must safely maneuver between close objects/barriers; keep their heads up and eyes forward while firing at specified points around the obstacles and at more than one target.
